On December 7 and 8, 2006, an invited group of civilian isaster managers and military geointelligence officialswitnessed a demonstration of open geospatial standards repared by members of the Open Geospatial Consortium,Inc. (OGC). The OGC's fourth annual OGC Web services estbed activity (OWS-4) began in June, and culminated in his demonstration at an emergency operations center (EOC)in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area.
