Vancouver, BC, CANADA – Galdos Systems Inc. is pleased to announce the signing of a contract for the development of a data registry with Shell International Exploration and Production B.V. (Shell). Royal Dutch Shell plc is a market leader in oil and gas exploration and production; production and marketing of Liquefied Natural Gas and Gas to Liquids; manufacturing, marketing and shipping of oil products and chemicals and renewable energy projects including wind and solar power.
Shell has engaged Galdos’ Engineering Services department to develop an open standards based Coordinate Reference System (CRS) registry for deployment within Shell and the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (OGP). The purpose of this development is to create a central, global access point for coordinate reference systems. Users will be able to acquire the most up to date CRSs from a single source. As a result Oil and Gas companies across the world will be able to access accurate data to better manage drilling and exploration projects.
