Galdos signs with leading defense company

Vancouver, BC, CANADA – Galdos Systems Inc. is pleased to announce the sales of Cartalinea WFS and FreeStyler to BAE Systems, a premier transatlantic defense and aerospace company. BAE Systems in Austin, Texas, purchased Galdos technology to enable the real-time distribution and visualization of sensor data from multiple databases.

“We are pleased to add BAE Systems to our growing list of customers in the defense market”, said Shaukat Jiwa, President of Galdos Systems Inc. He added, “Cartalinea and FreeStyler are cost effective solutions for companies needing to distribute, manage and visualize geographic and related geographic data, in real-time.”

Cartalinea and FreeStyler came to market in 2003. Each software solution is developed using open-standards. Cartalinea is an XML based web service product that implements OGC Web Feature Services, and organizes and encodes data into GML so that users can distribute data in real-time. FreeStyler is also an XML based web service product that implements OGC Web Mapping Services to enable users to create maps using open standards.
