VANCOUVER, BC – April 5, 2004 — Galdos Systems Inc, creator of the Geography Markup Language (GML) the “XML for geospatial,” today announced that Ron Lake, president of Galdos Systems delivered a presentation on Geography Markup Language (GML) to a meeting of the TSMAD Working Group of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) at the NOAA Headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland. The talk is part of an evaluation by the IHO of GML as a future encoding standard for the current (v3.1) and future (v4.0) versions of S–57, the data modeling standard for S-57 data. The meeting was attended by an international group including NOAA. Mitre, CHS, UKHO, etc.
