Galdos Systems Inc. selected to lead development of WSDL Service Descriptions

VANCOUVER, BC – April 5, 2004 — Galdos Systems Inc, creator of the Geography Markup Language (GML) the “XML for geospatial,” today announced that Galdos Systems has been selected by the Open GIS Consortium, Inc (OGC) and its sponsors to lead the development of WSDL service descriptions for the OGC Web Feature Service (WFS) and OGC Catalogue (ebRIM Profile). This project will also include deployment of SOAP-enabled WFS and Catalogue 2.0 servers and use of WSDL to automatically generate SOAP messages for these services.

A copy of the WSDL document for the service can be obtained on request from Galdos Systems (infoatgaldosincdotcom  (infoatgaldosincdotcom?subject=%5BWSDL%5D)  ).

Other participants in the initiative include ESRI, MapInfo, Intergraph, Ionic Software and BAE Systems.
