GeoWeb 2007 Conference Welcomes ESRI as a New Platinum Sponsor

Vancouver, BC, Feb 27, 2007 –GeoWeb 2007 Conference organizer, Galdos Systems Inc., Vancouver, British Columbia, and conference supporter, the Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA), Aurora, Colo., are pleased to announce that ESRI, Redlands, Calif., has agreed to be a platinum sponsor of the event, representing the highest level of sponsorship for the conference.

GeoWeb 2007, which will take place July 23-27, 2007, at the Morris J. Wosk Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, is the only conference focused exclusively on the convergence of GIS and the Internet. This premier GIS event brings together developers, end-users, technologists and decision makers to discuss this year’s principal theme, “From Mashups to Infrastructure.”

“We are excited and proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of the 2007 GeoWeb Conference in Vancouver,” said Jack Dangermond, ESRI President and GeoWeb 2007 Keynote Speaker. “The integration of GIS with the Internet is rapidly becoming an essential business tool for geographic decision making. We are truly witnessing a paradigm shift towards greater access to geographic data and services on the Web. World class events such as GeoWeb assist and promote idea sharing in order to grow the industry and I take pride in being part of this exciting event.”

“GeoWeb is centered around the idea of merging innovative Web mapping technologies with the geospatial industry. A platinum level sponsorship from an industry leader like ESRI means a lot to that concept as it sets an excellent precedent for the involvement of other geospatial companies,” said Bob Samborski, GITA Executive Director.
