A robust and scalable geospatial web-service application, Cartalinea addresses the growing need for interoperable and standardized geographic information systems and services. Cartalinea is compliant with W3C and OGC standards, including Web Feature Service. In addition, Cartalinea includes the following features:
- Implements OGC™ specifications Web Feature Service (WFS)1.0.0, Filter Encoding Implementation, GML v2.1.2 and 3.1.1.
- Supports WFS transactions, feature locking and OGC™ Filter spatial operators.
- Stores and manipulates GML feature collections.
- Transformation engine for user-defined data transformations (for example, schema mapping and coordinate transformations).
- Action manager, which allows for user-defined real-time responses to changes in geographic data.
- Data protection that employs user-authentication, data branding and encryption.
- Access control (SAML-compliant PDP).
- WFS Replicator that enables geographical data to be replicated to multiple WFS with transactional support. Does not depend on the underlying storage model of the target WFS.
- Supports GZIP and ZIP response compression.
Cartalinea comes with X-Hive/DB™, a cutting-edge native-XML database. Data can also be stored in an existing DBMS (for example, Oracle 9i locator, Oracle Spatial or Arc SDE 8.3 or 9.x) by purchasing the appropriate version of Cartalinea.
