Paris, France & Vancouver, Canada – February 24, 2003

EXPWAY, one of the leading providers of software solutions for managing XML transport and processing and GALDOS Systems Inc. creators of Geography Markup Language (GML), today announced the signature of a distribution agreement, whereby GALDOS was appointed distributor of BinXMLTM, EXPWAY Binary XML technology, within the Geographic Information Server (GIS) market worldwide.

BinXMLTM compression engine enables geo-spatial solutions providers to reduce response times of geo-web services by cutting on processing times and reducing both CPU and bandwidth consumption, thus improving the overall quality of service of their tools.

By distributing BinXMLTM, GALDOS, a pioneer in developing tools for geo-spatial data, seeks to speed-up the widespread of GML-based geo-web services. Indeed, the efficiency in processing and transporting GML data provided by BinXMLTM linked to the interoperability of GML offer a solid technology platform to geo-web services.

“Due to its contribution to the Open GIS Consortium and its expertise to develop best of breed geo-spatial management tools, GALDOS seemed as the ideal partner for distributing BinXMLTM within the GIS market segment” said Christine Bonnal, Chief Executive Officer of EXPWAY.

GALDOS believes in open standards. For this reason it has decided not only to integrate EXPWAY’s BinXMLTM into its GML products, but also to become the distributor for BinXMLTM in the geospatial (LBS, Telematics, GIS) marketplace.

Ron Lake, Chief Executive Officer of GALDOS notes: “We believe that EXPWAY’s BinXMLTM offers all geo-spatial web service vendors the opportunity to take a quantum leap forward in terms of performance. We further believe that Galdos and EXPWAY together offer the ideal combination of GML/XML and XML acceleration expertise. We anticipate that software server and client side vendors throughout the geo-spatial industry will benefit from this combination.”
